Debbie Lister is senior vice president, partner engagement for America's Promise Alliance and is responsible for overseeing partner development including recruitment, engagement and mobilization of Alliance partners to achieve the Grad Nation goal of a 90 percent graduation rate by 2020. Prior to joining America's Promise, Lister was a program manager at the CityBridge Foundation, providing leadership and direction on private sector support of the DCPS Catalyst project. Additionally, she managed corporate volunteer and philanthropy programs for six local D.C. businesses through the CityBridge ServiceCorps program. Lister also served as director of recruitment for City Year D.C., focusing on recruiting diverse 17-24 year olds for a year of national service in D.C. Public Schools. She is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, who served in Lithuania, supporting emerging nonprofits. Lister currently serves as Vice Chair on the Septima Clark Public Charter School Board in Anacostia. Lister earned a Master of Public Administration from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Education from the University of Florida.
