Overall Goals:
WXXI will launch this initiative through aggressive promotion that coincides with the national broadcast. A We Shall Remain Working Group will be established with partner organizations such as the Native American Culture Center, The Friends of Ganondagan, Rochester Museum and Science Center (RMSC) and representatives from area school districts to produce six localized educational segments to broadcast statewide on Homework Hotline. The segments will be uploaded into EdVideo Online providing access to 3.3 million students and more than 262,000 educators.

Materials will be distributed to Working Group partners and they will be encouraged to present a screening/discussion to their constituients.

Activity Name: Homework Hotline "Getting Historical"
Activity Type: Develop A Broadcast
WXXI will produce six localized educational segments (3-4 minutes each in length) to broadcast on Homework Hotline, “Getting Historical”.

As part of expanding the initiative beyond the classroom and beyond the broadcast, these segments will be digitized and uploaded into the EdVideo Online collection.
